Competition Dance Policies-

Dancer Expectations:

Competition Dance is an extra opportunity given to dancers who demonstrate that they are capable and can handle dancing at the next level. Level Up All Stars competition dancers are expected to be responsible, a team player, and at class every week to ensure the success of our program.

Attendance Policy:

The success of our team is dependent on all dancers being at practice. When we have even just one dancer missing, it affects the formations and the cleaning process. Attendance policy is STRICTLY enforced for competition dance, please make sure you read entirely before agreeing to the team.

We allow 5 absences per season per competition class (this equates to over a MONTH of missed practices and is more than generous.)

Absences that we do not count towards the 5-- death in family and illness. Pom girls first 3 POM/POM-SCHOOL related absences do not count towards the 5... Then the 5 absence count begins.

Absences we do count-- missing for another sports activity, sibling sports events.

Absence 1- No action taken

Absence 2- Written notice that dancer has missed 2 classes, reminder of removal policy at 4. Private lesson scheduled and dancer family is responsible for cost.

Absence 3- Meeting with family to discuss absences, reminder of removal policy at 4 absences. Private lesson scheduled and dancer family responsible for cost.

Absence 4- Final reminder that 5th absence is approaching. Dancer must sit out from one competition.

Absence 5- Removal from the studio with No refund for tuition, competition fees, or costume.

*THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS GIVEN IF DANCER IS REMOVED FROM TEAM. FAMILY WILL NOT RECEIVE REFUND FOR TUITION, COSTUMES, OR COMPETITION FEES.

Required Dates:

*Week before competition, dancer must be at all competition classes.

*Dancer must be present at competition practices (including Fridays)

*Dancer must be present at Mandatory Dress Rehearsals.

Behavior-

Level Up All Stars competition dancers are expected to hold themselves to a higher standard involving conduct inside the studio and at studio related events. Below are our conduct expectations.

1. Dancers are expected to be respectful towards staff and follow their directions. Dancers are expected to treat each other (other athletes and studio members) with kindness and respect.

Examples of RESPECTFUL behavior- acknowledging feedback and taking correction from staff, following staffs directions on what to do in class, calling staff by their name (not bro).

Examples of DISRESPECTFUL behavior-- rolling eyes at coaches, crossing arms, side conversations, not taking feedback, talking back to coaches or the coaches feedback, distracting other classmates, talking about other teammates or staff.

2. Level Up All Stars members (including family) are expected to speak positively about Level Up and any issues you may be experiencing must be brought to the studio owner via email at levelupallstarsok@gmail.com.

Behavior misconducts will be handled directly at the studio between child and coach (and another coach as a 3rd party if applicable).

If the problem cannot be resolved within class after a coach/child conversation or behavior is repeating, a in person meeting between family, coach of the class, and owner will be called.

Continuous behavior misconduct meetings (3+) will result in removal from our program with no refund.

Financial Policy

All related fees for each month are due by the first class date of the month (Example- If your child’s first class is on a Tuesday in March, tuition and related fees are due Tuesday).

Level Up All Stars accepts Cash, Check, Venmo, CashApp, and Square. *There is a fee related to using Venmo or Square and family is responsible for the fee.

Failure to pay monthly dues by the 2nd week of class will result in a letter sent home to family and a $10 late fee. Failure to pay dues by the 3rd week results in discontinuation of dance services until the account is fully paid and up to date. Dancer is unable to compete at competitions until the studio account balance is paid up to date. Dancer is unable and ineligible for private lessons until their dance account balance is paid in full.

*There is no refund if a family decides to leave Level Up All Stars. No refunds for tuition, costume or competition fees will be given if a family leaves/quits the studio.

Injury

We understand that injuries happen and are not controllable. We are willing to work with the family and the dancer through the injury and navigating the season.

Expectations:

If a dancer gets injured-

1. Contact the studio @ levelupallstarsok@gmail.com and inform the studio director of the injury.

2. A meeting will be held between studio owner and client family to discuss plan of action during. If the dancer plans on returning to the competition team, they are expected to continue attending competition classes and take notes/watch class. Family is still responsible for all competition group dance tuition. If studio owner and family determine that the dancer is heavily injured, the dancer is not required to take technique class until released and is released from the financial liability of technique class until released from injury.
